I did this 3 years ago, tagged my cute/good/best friends, is all... |
Take me for instance; I have an impulsive best friend, an uncle/best friend, a cynical best friend, and an uncategorized best friend.
His name is Jason Paul, we’ve been best friends for more than 20 years now. What’s the funny thing is, when we were just kids we used play guns and trucks and hero figures, but look at him now, he turned into a #barbie. However, I don’t despise him because of that, rather, I’m proud of his braveness to bring out his true colors. I call him impulsive because he's like the kind of a person who would always do the things he wants to do without giving a damn to anyone, if that's makes him happy, he will go for it! Has become a part of the family that every time his around he’d grab snacks in the fridge, takes meal at the kitchen, defecate in our toilet, and memorized all the dates of events, every birthdays and even my parents anniversary, there's no need for invitation as he'd turn up no matter what time as if he installed a private line CCTV to every corner in our house. Sometimes, when the family is out of town he’s the only person we can trust to watch over the house, feed the dogs, the turtles, and water the plants. He’s also familiar with all the horror, all the ghost that resides in it, and that creepy “pssst” sound. We may not hang around unlike before since we’re both busy in our own activities, but every time we’re together I don’t feel like something has change, we’re meant to be best friends AT WALANG MAKAKAPIGIL SA AMIN!!! (no one can stop us)
This guy, James, is actually my uncle, except that I’m a bit older. We’ve known for like 2 years not including those years when we remained as acquaintances. We started getting to know each other when he’s at under my supervision (job thing) on a distant place where the only person I know I can rely with to battle the loneliness is, fortunately, my relative, and that’s him. Our friendship was ignited with a few bottles of Red Horse Beer. When the alcohol escalates the level of our confidence we started to have a conversation as if we’ve known each other for so long, sharing the fun experiences and all. Since then we became best friends. Then we get drunk a lot of the time. I still remember the day when we have to part ways and when he said it’ll takes us at least 30 years (just a joke right?) before seeing each other again. I cried that day, we both cried that day. But as soon as he came back unexpectedly we both agree not to mention that day ever, how awkward isn't it? I even made him a poem entitled “A Poem To My Worst Friend Ever” when we parted that day. We also made a cover of Stupid Love by Salbakuta while we're having a SLUMBER PARTY (your face!).
Her name is Mia, I met her on the first day in college; she came late for the first period, seated beside me, her eyes were so heavy like she’s been crying the whole night, her long hair she seem to forgot to comb. After the first period we had a vacant time and while waiting for the next period I went to the library but she’s tailing me! Then she started asking questions about my interests and I was like “Damn! Just go away!” I thought I’d be spending my entire semester avoiding her but it turns out that she was of a big help during my college days. She's a little peculiar from my classmates or from the other ladies I've known, she hates a lot of things (which I somehow also hates) except for cats, and that's reason why I love her, she don't conform to. Though we don’t see too often we would still find a way to meet at least once in a month, you know, to pretend that we’re still best friends.

We were supposed to meet yesterday, "supposed". |
I put it uncategorized because I don't know what's the best word to describe her, she's like anywhere on the spot, so maybe the uncategorized will do but if it's somehow insulting, at least on my part it doesn't. So, her name is Joy, to make a long story short, we became friends while we’re playing an online game. Right now, there’s no other person I can think of when I needed advice on serious matters, though she’s far across the country but our constant communication helps us keeping our friendship alive. People may ask, why not seek advice from your other best friends? I can’t, because I’m older than them, not because it comes with my pride nor they can't give advice very well. But because I should know when I needed someone’s aid on the right time at the right situation, and who said I don't seek advice from anyone else except her? No one. LOL!
I always love to make new friends but we can’t deny the fact that among them all we’ll find someone we know we can put on our trust and dedication, you know, best friends be like... DUH!
