May 21st Judgement Day

HOMAYGASH! It's... it's... it's a gecko! (on my bedroom wall last night)

I first knew this thing last year as I saw it being advertise on facebok but I just ignored it thinking that maybe it's just another prank by some (foolish) people out there. Yes, internet can either be reliable or unreliable source of knowledge, news, etc. it's like you just realized that when you grow up "wounded knees are easier to heal than wounded heart" (showbiz...). However, while I'm riding in a jeepney I saw a sign board on top of another jeepney saying "May 21st Judgement Day" (with a person like pooping) and saw it twice on another sign board of a commercial building, with these triggers my kyo-riyo-siti. When I reached home I made a research about it, the positive side and the not so positive side 'til I came to this family radio which says that May 21st will be the judgement day and on October 21st will be the end of the world. You may call me "stupid" if I say "maybe I should believe of maybe I shouldn't" like I'm not sure if it's true or not (now, call me stupid) so I went to forum to forum to know the opinion of other people about it, but they are also a bunch of stupid... like me.

I asked my sister coz she's a prayerful person but she just replied with a two BIG question mark on her face like she wants me to find out my self (read the bible) -- then I asked my mother and only got scolded of believing such stupid thing, she said that when a person die it's his/her judgement day and it's the end of the world for him/her (maybe, who knows?).


Q: dadedidhodong, do you really believe that May 21st will be the judgement day?

A: First, I would like to thank my parents for always there supporting me, my siblings, my relatives, my friends, and our neighbors. Well, that's a very good question. For me it's a... I don't know. Though it's kinda lame to admit but the thoughts of the end of the world has been battling in my mind, there are times that I want to believe and other times I don't. I hold these thoughts of mine before my lips to make sure that I will never make any false statement to somebody else or even to my self, instead, I will just encouraged these people to pray to God and believe in Him because He's the only our salvation.

Right now, I do believe that it's not TRUE because the bible said:

"No one knows about that day or hour, not even the angels in the heaven, nor the Son, but only the Father."
--Matthew 24:36

So it could be tomorrow, or a few hours from now, "no one knows."

"But there were also false prophets, just as there will be false teachers among you. They will secretly introduce destructive heresies, even denying the sovereign Lord who brought them - bringing swift destruction on themselves."

There are many end of the world predictions throughout the year, but they were all failed.

We don't really know when will be the end of the world. No one knows. But as I observed with some of the people around me who knew about it they would just want to spend their remaining days doing animosity. I thought they don't believe in God but why do they worry? I hope these people will pray instead, and increase their faith to God. God is Love and if it is the end of the world, I believe it's a part of God's good plan. May God be with us all, always.
