Last night I found out that Gecko or Tuko in Filipino buzz the market for the use of another Chinese traditional medicine. A study said that they've found out that Gecko can cure various diseases like skin disease, asthma, and can even increase stamina for men as well as an effective medicine against cancer and tumor. Since there are many who are looking for Gecko it became so expensive, here in the Philippines particularly in Davao a single Gecko that could weigh 300g can be sold for 50,000PHP (Fifty Thousand Philippine Peso) or 1,154.83USD. Gecko can be found in warm places and in the forest where they usually inhabit, they can also be found in urban area but this is rare. Because of the expensive price a lot of people are hunting for this poor creature and if this large scale of hunting continue I won't be surprise if one day these creatures would get extinct. Gecko as a predator feed themselves with a mosquito that could possibly carry dengue fever and other diseases, the different between Gecko and a house lizard (Butiki) is that house lizard stays on the ceiling while Gecko usually hide themselves in your garage where you put all your unused stuff and when mosquito claim it as their kingdom. Anyways, I think people should stop hunting, why not try to raise a Gecko for their own? In this way they are not disturbing the balance of ecosystem which we all benefited with. Though it may took them some time but it's isn't so hard to raise a Gecko, why? Here's why

There are several ways to breed geckos, Basically I will explain as follows :

Gecko is the animal that bear had not eaten for 2 weeks, and has a body resistance is good against the weather.
Gecko is the animal cannibals.

When they come together in one cage, and felt hungry, they will devour each other. try one cage to one gecko. instead more regular basis also will not fight for food that will impact the growth of uneven gecko with one another. Larger geckos will be more dominant, so that smaller missed.

Gecko is easy stress.

Do not be too often move gecko cage, do not move any other place. The goal that geckos do not stress, so the geckos can quickly adapt well.

The placement of a suitable cage.

Earned outside the home and placed under the trees so that more natural feel.

Adaptation geckos from the beginning to enter the cage.

usually gecko will not eat for 2 weeks or more. But if the cage is made of wood will be more rapid adaptation. So for the cage is suggested to use materials from wood, and try to stall a bit dark so that geckos are more comfortable.

Cages for Breeding.

The ideal size of 1x1m square with wooden materials with content 1 male and 1 female. Inside the cage made a small cage, with the purpose as a place to breed geckos.

Food gecko.

gecko food is insects like ants, mosquitoes, crickets, or cockroaches, they will stimulate rapid growth into a large gecko. To increase the gecko weight depends on many factors, but the key point is the gecko should not stress.

How to hold a gecko.

Gecko is a little scary. How to hold a good gecko is to hold the body and neck along with slowlyso do not stress.

I was inspired to create this post after I cleaned up our house and suddenly saw a TUKO! and I got scared.

I just had a GREAT SUMMER VACATION during my stay in Gensan (OMG! it's raining! Lord please don't let the light out, I'm scared...) and in exchange to that, I agreed that I'll be the CARE TAKER of our house ALONE for the whole month of April while they are all in Gensan with the 5 NAUGHTY KIDS (I love them though) but my sweet-summer fun isn't over yet, this 15th I'll celebrate fiesta with my couzins in Surigao del Sur and on 22nd I'll have my "FRIENDSHIP REUNION" in Suralha, South Cotabato, but all these must have my parent's permission (if only we don't have dog, cat, fishes, and turtles and also add the jungle like plants! haizt...).

Anyways, while I was away (and away from computer) I still have my daily dose of blog, but not mine but Him. When my sister arrived in Gensan for an exchange of place she gave me a book (it has so many labels on the cover so I scanned it which you can actually see on the left coz I don't know which one is the title) it's like a "book of daily bread" according to my BFF (the rain is getting heavy, please Lord don't let the light out...) coz I have to read it everyday as each page had a specific date for the month of April, May, and June. There are four parts each day of reading, the "First Reading", the "Psalm", the "Gospel", and the "Gospel Reflection" and theres a space provided for readers to where they can write their "Personal Response" so that would make it five parts LOLZ! (after 30 minutes... YES! the rain is finally over! Thank you LORD!) And last Sunday I really forgot that it was Sunday that day and realized that I've missed 3 Sunday masses, I knew it coz the last time I went to church it was the first Sunday of lent but recently it's already the fifth. Unexpectedly, I just finish taking a bath around 3 o'clock in the afternoon and that I can still attend the last mass that I usually do. That same day also I forgot to read my "book of daily bread" and when I did the morning after I was surprised when I found out that what has the Father preached last Sunday was totally related for that day's reading (the Sunday I mean, deym! am not good in English). Now I feel happier spiritually that I had this book right in my hand and it's so amazing that every time I pray to God I always ask for His guidance and I found this book as an answered prayer. God is good all the time in any way, yet I do believe in Science "but the universe doesn't care what you believe, the wonderful thing about science is that it only asked for your eyes but not for your faith" according to... I forgot LOLZ! And if you don't believe either God or Science then better stay live in righteousness according to God and live curious according to Science and thank you for reading.

I'm home and I'm back into business! My two weeks Gensan vacation is over and I'm gonna totally miss all of my friends out there. But no worries, just a few days and I'll be back their soon, weeeeee. So what did I do in Gensan? Well, I was there to help my mom on her business which was a construction canteen since I've nothing to do here in Davao and at the same time an advance summer vacation which I doubt coz I've been a free spirit for almost 6 months now, I stop my study in 2nd semester last year and I don't have a job, I was a full time care taker of our house and a 163 (Bantay Bata) to 5 kids which is studying in elementary (you'll gone crazy if you are with these kids that's why I DECLARED MARTIAL LAW against them). The first time I went to Gensan that was December last year I didn't miss the chance to visit my friends in Suralha, South Cotabato that I have befriended last 2004 when my father happened to have a project there, I just can't forget them that simple because they've been one of the best thing ever happened in my life. Though my expectation fails me coz I only met two of them out of:

I only met Kadoy and Dapoy which was in the hospital that time coz he's been stabbed in the back for trying to protect a girl which that's not related to him at all (except that they were both resident of that area), just imagine how wonderful person he was. WAIT! Let's go back to Gensan, so in my first visit it was kinda boring coz I didn't make new friends and that I didn't tour around the city, I just stayed in the canteen, reading books and counting days if when will I go back home. In my second visit, I made my self a little more sociable, indeed it was a success coz I met new friends and somehow I tour around the city and I'm happy coz found the National Bookstore to where I can buy Bob Ong books. LOLZ! I enjoyed my stay there coz my day always ended up full of fun, laughter, and excitement that I almost forgot about Davao! HAHA! Specially that someone who made my day complete and period.
